Living in Castle Rock

Castle Rock takes its name from the butte above downtown, which is lit with a star every holiday season. The town has grown quickly, but it has done so around a real downtown, Festival Park, and one of the best-loved park systems in the region.

It is a natural choice for households split between Denver and Colorado Springs, including military households and buyers who want more house and more open space for their budget.

Getting around

About 35 to 50 minutes to downtown Denver and 35 to 45 minutes to Colorado Springs, depending on traffic and neighborhood.

Philip S. Miller Park's trails and adventure park, Castlewood Canyon State Park just east of town, and the hike up Castle Rock itself.
