Overview
Living in Parker
Parker grew from a stagecoach stop into one of the most sought-after towns in Douglas County, and it has kept a real center. Mainstreet has local restaurants, seasonal events and the PACE Center for performing arts. The Cherry Creek Regional Trail runs straight through town.
For many relocating buyers, Parker is the answer to wanting more space without giving up a reasonable drive to work. E-470 and Parker Road connect quickly to the Denver Tech Center and Denver International Airport, and new communities continue to open on the town's edges.
Why buyers choose it
- Consistent demand thanks to its parks, trails and community events
- Active new-construction communities, including townhome and multi-generational plans
- Quick E-470 access to the Denver Tech Center and Denver International Airport
- Established neighborhoods like The Pinery with larger lots and mature trees

Homes
Parker offers a broad mix: established 1980s and '90s neighborhoods, newer resale homes from the 2010s, and current new-construction communities. Jaime has toured Lennar townhomes near $600,000 and multi-generational single-family plans with finished basements and three-car garages.
Schools
Most of Parker is served by Douglas County School District. Some neighborhoods near the Arapahoe County line are served by Cherry Creek School District, so confirm boundaries for a specific address.
Getting around

Questions
Parker, answered
Is Parker a good fit for relocating buyers?
For many, yes. Parker combines a genuine town center with newer housing, strong community programming and quick access to the Tech Center and the airport. The trade-off is a longer drive to downtown Denver than from closer-in suburbs.
What does new construction cost in Parker?
It varies widely by builder and product type. Jaime's recent Parker tours range from attached townhomes near $600,000 to large single-family homes well above that. Incentives change monthly, so ask for a current comparison.
